Samsung Galaxy phones have been the most popular line of smartphones sold by Samsung. If you’re new to these phones, then you might not have figured out how to take screenshots.
In this guide, I’ll be showing you how to take a screenshot on Samsung Galaxy phone using physical button configurations. But you can also see alternative methods when you read more.
Samsung Galaxy S2
Hold down on the Power Button + Home Button simultaneously, but keep them held for more than a second or until you hear/see an animation on the screen.
The screenshot will be saved to your gallery in the ‘screenshots’ folder.
Samsung Galaxy S3
Press and hold both the Power + Home buttons together untl you see/hear the screenshot animation.
Screenshot will be captured and saved to the Gallery app in the ‘screenshots’ folder.
Samsung Galaxy S4
Press and hold the Power + Home buttons at the same time until you hear/see the screenshot animation on the screen.
The screenshot will be saved to the gallery.
Samsung Galaxy S5
Press and hold the Power + Home buttons at the same time until you hear/see the screenshot animation on the screen.
The screenshot will be saved to the gallery.
Samsung Galaxy S6
Press and hold the Power + Home buttons at the same time until you hear/see the screenshot animation on the screen.
The screenshot will be saved to the gallery.
Samsung Galaxy S7
Press and hold the Power + Home buttons at the same time until you hear/see the screenshot animation on the screen.

Samsung Galaxy S8
On both the Galaxy S8 and S8+, Press and hold the Power + Volume down buttons at the same time until you hear/see the screenshot animation on the screen.
